Basketball Recap: Town East Christian Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Town East Christian Eagles came up short against Varsity Opponent and fell 45-32.

Despite the defeat, Town East Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Benyam Hailemariam posted 19 points and three steals. Colin Wingate was another key player, putting up seven points.

Town East Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Town East Christian will challenge Salem Sayers Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-47 defeat against Eastern Shore HomeSchool on the 5th.
