East Central won the last time they faced Greene County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hornets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats, sneaking past 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Abby Danis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lauren Pinkston was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 games. Hailey Gordon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

East Central's record now sits at 8-3. As for Greene County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Central will face off against Ocean Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greene County, they will challenge Wayne County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
