Basketball Recap: Marion County Takes a Loss

Marion County suffered their biggest loss since February 2, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Adair County Indians, falling 89-64. The Knights have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Connor Loy was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds for Adair County. Loy's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Isaiah Cochran was another key player, putting up 15 points and five boards.

Marion County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Adair County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

Marion County will venture away from home to take on Washington County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adair County, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against George Rogers Clark at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Adair County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 74.1 points per game this season.
