Football Recap: Mcqueen Does not Make It Easy on Damonte Ranch's Passing Game + How To Watch

If Damonte Ranch wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played McQueen, they should've done a better job of containing Nason Rodriguez. The Lancers simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Mustangs 44-6 with plenty of help from Rodriguez, who rushed for 208 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards.

McQueen's defense made their presence known, laying out Christian Diehl. three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Brooks Porter, Chilly Walker, and Colin Pairis Angier, who each picked up one sack apiece. Porter was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defending one pass.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McQueen will challenge Reno at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 832 yards in their previous games. After each having a week off, Damonte Ranch and Douglas will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The contest will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
