Football Recap: Pinnacle Pioneers vs. Centennial Coyotes        
        
		
             Pinnacle hadn't done well against Centennial recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. The Pinnacle Pioneers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Centennial Coyotes , sneaking past  41-38. This was payback for the Pioneers, who suffered  a  31-6  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pinnacle to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Wyatt Horton, who threw for 353 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt.  Alex Lugo also helped with two touchdowns in total.
 Despite the loss, Centennial still got an impressive performance from   Owen Reynoso, who rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave  Reynoso a new career-high in  rushing yards.  Kainan Manna was another key player, throwing for 264 yards and three touchdowns.
 The  win made it two in a row for Pinnacle and  bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
 Pinnacle wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  48-14  victory against Saguaro on the 8th. Centennial has also  already played their next match,  a  45-17  defeat against Liberty on the 8th.
