Basketball Recap: Florida Atlantic University Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Florida Atlantic University dropped to 2-3 on Wednesday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spanish River Sharks. The Owls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

As for Spanish River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games.

Devan DeGiuseppe had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddy Lui, who posted 11 points.

Florida Atlantic University has already played their next matchup, a 64-52 victory against Sports Leadership & Management on the 5th. As for Spanish River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-46 win against Boca Raton on the 5th.
