Recap: Eastside College Prep Panthers vs. Drew Dragons
The Eastside College Prep Panthers waltzed into their contest Saturday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They came out on top against Drew by a score of 48-36.
Despite the defeat, Drew had strong showings from Charlie Leu, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds, and Teo Kimball-Directo, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Kimball-Directo's tenth in a row with at least ten points.
Eastside College Prep's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Drew, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Eastside College Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sacred Heart Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Drew will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leland at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th.
