Football Recap: Raymore-Peculiar Takes a Loss

Raymore-Peculiar is still winless after their game against Staley on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-17 heartbreaker at the hands of the Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 31-22 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

It was another big night for Lance Holsted, who rushed for 186 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 62 receiving yards and one TD for Staley. The dominant performance also gave Holsted a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Raymore-Peculiar's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Staley, they moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Raymore-Peculiar nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
