Softball Recap: Maranatha Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against St. Croix Prep on Monday, Maranatha Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell just short of the Central Raiders by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Maranatha Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alaina Dunham, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Maranatha Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Maranatha Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted at 4:00 p.m. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lakers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
