Recap: North Rock Creek Cougars vs. Kingfisher Yellowjackets
The North Rock Creek Cougars''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Kingfisher and snuck past 12-10. For North Rock Creek, this counts as revenge for the 52-6 loss Kingfisher walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Caleb Hawkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 178 yards and two touchdowns. Hawkins is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
North Rock Creek's victory was their third straight at home , which pushed their record up to 5-5. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Kingfisher, Anadarko, and Mannford. As for Kingfisher, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
North Rock Creek will head out on the road to face off against Metro Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Metro Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Kingfisher, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Anadarko on Friday.
