Basketball Recap: Eagle River Falls to Houston in First Game of Season

Eagle River unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Houston Hawks. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.

Eagle River will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bettye Davis East Anchorage at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Houston and Philomath will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
