Softball Game Preview: Springfield Cougars vs. Ridley Raiders

The Springfield Cougars will square off against the Ridley Raiders at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.

Springfield is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Haverford just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Fords by a score of 8-7.

Meanwhile, Ridley came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Jaguars. While the Raiders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-10-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Ridley, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
