Volleyball Recap: Pine Forest Comes Up Short

Pine Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Hoke County Bucks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bucks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on September 11th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-13.

Danyaris Torres-Cintron paced Pine Forest's offense, picking up eight kills. Torres-Cintron got some help from Aria Parish and her 13 assists. Hayden Lake controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Aaliyah Carter, who had six digs and two aces.

Pine Forest's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Hoke County, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

Pine Forest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Pinecrest on the 2nd. As for Hoke County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Richmond Senior on the 2nd.
