Pine Grove is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Booneville just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 12-3.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Baldwyn duked it out with Belmont on Monday. The Bearcats were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Cardinals. Considering the Bearcats have won nine contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Baldwyn's win bumped their record up to 15-8-1. As for Pine Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Pine Grove took their victory against Baldwyn in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-4 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
