Baseball Recap: Bradford Prep Comes Up Short

If Bradford Prep was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Queen's Grant on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears lost 16-1 to the Lake Norman Charter Knights on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 27-0 on Tuesday.

Bradford Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pierce Horsley, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Bradford Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Lake Norman Charter, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, Bradford Prep will venture away from home to face off against Queen's Grant at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears are facing the Stallions at the right time seeing as the Stallions are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Lake Norman Charter, they will be playing at home against Lincoln Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
