On Friday, the Highland Prep Honey Badgers took their game with ease, bagging a 61-34 victory over the Kingman Bulldogs. The Honey Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 27 points or more this season.

Highland Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aeden Calini led the charge by putting up eight points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Terrance Byrd, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.

Highland Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.

Kingman's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Codey Padilla, who posted 11 points along with six boards and three steals, and Jordan Williams, who put up two points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Padilla a new career-high in steals. Taelon Thomason also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Highland Prep is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Kingman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Highland Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-68 win against ALA - West Foothills on the 14th. As for Kingman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-55 victory against Chino Valley on the 17th.
