South Pointe's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.8 points per game. As for Blue Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Blue Ridge was dealt a bruising 56-0 defeat at the hands of South Pointe in their previous matchup back in November of 2014. Thankfully for Blue Ridge, Greg Ruff (who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
