Softball Recap: Tullahoma Has No Trouble Against Shelbyville Central

After only two runs in their last match, Tullahoma made sure to put some runs up on the board against Shelbyville Central on Friday. The Tullahoma Wildcats blew past the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles 14-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Amaya Sharp spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Madison Goad, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kylee Holt, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.

Tullahoma always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shelbyville Central only posted an OBP of .357.

The win got Tullahoma back to even at 1-1.

Tullahoma has already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against Siegel on the 8th. As for Shelbyville Central, they will take on Moore County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Shelbyville Central has now lost nine straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 22.
