Football Recap: Sierra Pacific Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Sierra Pacific had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 41-13 loss at the hands of the Woodlake Tigers. The Golden Bears lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 20-19 score last time.

Aldo Rodriguez had an outrageously good game for Woodlake as he threw for 141 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Another big playmaker for the Tigers was Isaac Nicolas, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra Pacific will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Golden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodlake, they will host Exeter at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
