Basketball Recap: Our Lady of Mercy Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Our Lady of Mercy Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 45-33 victory over the Absegami Braves on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Villagers: when they faced off against the Braves back in January, they had to take a 55-45 loss.

Our Lady of Mercy Academy pushed their record up to 10-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Absegami, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.

Our Lady of Mercy Academy and Absegami should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. Our Lady of Mercy Academy (ranked 91st) will meet Lower Cape May (ranked 321st) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Absegami will square off against Ocean City at 5:30 p.m. on Friday up 110 places (46 vs. 156).
