Baseball Game Preview: Waynesboro Little Giants vs. Riverheads Gladiators

Waynesboro hasn't had much luck against Riverheads recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Little Giants will head out on the road to take on the Gladiators at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Waynesboro is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since April 1st on Friday. They fell just short of Charlottesville by a score of 9-7.

Meanwhile, Riverheads lost a heartbreaker to Wilson Memorial when they met back in April of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Gladiators fell 8-5 to the Green Hornets. The defeat continues a trend for the Gladiators in their meetings with the Green Hornets: they've now lost nine in a row.

Waynesboro's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Riverheads, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Waynesboro might still be hurting after the 14-3 loss they got from Riverheads in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Little Giants avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
