Baseball Game Preview: Laurel Golden Tornadoes vs. Wayne County War Eagles

For the second straight game, Laurel will face off against Wayne County. Laurel will square off against Wayne County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Laurel hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Laurel came up short against Wayne County on Tuesday, falling 16-1.

For Wayne County's part, Brayson Graham was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Graham a new career-high. Jon Michael Pitts also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Wayne County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Wayne County and bumps their season record up to 8-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Laurel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
