Baseball Game Preview: Grafton Bearcats vs. Williamstown Yellowjackets

The Grafton Bearcats will venture away from home to take on the Williamstown Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Grafton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Grafton is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Fairmont Senior on Friday. They fell just short of the Polar Bears by a score of 3-2. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Polar Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Grafton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Greyson Ramezan, who went 3-for-4 with one double. The Bearcats are 2-1 when Ramezan posts three or more hits, but 10-11 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Williamstown got the win against Ritchie County on Thursday by a conclusive 9-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellowjackets.

Grafton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Williamstown, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
