 Veterans Memorial's hitters rose to the challenge against a Antlers pitching crew that boasted an average of only two points allowed on Tuesday. The Veterans Memorial Patriots were the clear victor by  a  16-2 margin over the Tivy Antlers. The result was nothing new for Veterans Memorial, who have now won 12 contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
  Shalei Morn was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. Morn has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 11 consecutive pitching appearances. Morn was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news, Veterans Memorial got a  massive  performance out of  Alaina Peper, who  fired off two  home runs, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Lara Ramos, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Veterans Memorial has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine games,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record  this season. As for Tivy, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 15-3.
 Veterans Memorial will take on Canyon at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Veterans Memorial knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy  run totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Canyon likes a good challenge. As for Tivy, they will be playing at home against Smithson Valley at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Smithson Valley is coming into the  matchup with six straight  wins on the road,  so Tivy will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum.
