Volleyball Recap: Pittsfield Takes a Loss

Pittsfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lee Wildcats, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Pittsfield was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23, 25-14.

Shyanne Mungin paced Pittsfield's offense, picking up six kills. Mungin got some help from Isabella Baltazar and her ten assists. Gionnah LeVardi controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Pittsfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lee, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Pittsfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Mount Greylock Regional on the 11th. As for Lee, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Taconic on the 11th.
