Lake Central had already won ten in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Valparaiso Vikings. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Josh Flores looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, Lake Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Figg, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lake Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Valparaiso by a score of 10-0 on Wednesday.
