Soccer Game Preview: West Florida vs. Rickards

The West Florida Jaguars will take on the Rickards Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

West Florida is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Lake Weir a 1-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Jaguars who have now won three matchups in a row.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Tyrin Joiner, who's now up to 21 this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Rickards sidestepped Bishop Kenny for a 2-1 victory.

Rickards' win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for West Florida, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4-3.

Everything went West Florida's way against Rickards in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as West Florida made off with a 3-0 win. Will West Florida repeat their success, or does Rickards have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
