Saguaro extended their losing streak  to five  on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-7. They took a  blow against the Brophy College Prep Broncos, falling  41-8. The Sabercats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  34-0.
 Marcel Jones threw for 149 yards  on 14 of 28 attempts.   Xavier Jackson was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards.
As for Brophy College Prep, their win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-4. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their three-point performance the  matchup before.
 Brophy College Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Case Vanden Bosch led the charge by rushing for 43 yards and one  score, while also throwing for 161 yards and one  touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Vanden Bosch's passing game has become a key predictor of the Broncos' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise. Another rusher making a difference was  Harrison Chambers, who rushed for 79 yards and a pair of  TDs on only eight carries.
