Baseball Recap: Viola Takes a Loss

Viola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Concord Pirates, falling 17-1. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Viola saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Sikes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Viola's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Concord, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Viola will challenge Lead Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Concord, they will take on Guy-Perkins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
