Jacob Thaute posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out two batters over one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

Thaute's strong effort led Las Plumas over Oroville and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
