Volleyball Preview: West Marion Trojans vs. Purvis Tornadoes
West Marion is 3-0 against Purvis since August of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The West Marion Trojans will head out to take on the Purvis Tornadoes at 6:30 p.m. Purvis took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on West Marion, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, West Marion got the win against Perry Central by a conclusive 3-0.
Meanwhile, Purvis unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Our Lady Academy. The Tornadoes have struggled against the Crescents recently, as their game on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19.
West Marion has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Purvis, their loss dropped their record down to 19-8.
