Creekview hasn't had much luck against Reedy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Creekview Mustangs will be playing at home against the Reedy Lions at 6:45 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Creekview turned things around against Highland Park on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Scots.

Kelis Lee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 11 Ks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.
On the hitting side, Creekview let Sophia Caballero and MacKenzie Martin run wild. Caballero scored a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Martin scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Caballero posted two hits, the most she's had over her last eight contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Reedy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over Wakeland on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since February 15th.
Malaina Boyst looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sierra Petersdorf, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Mady Kulp was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Reedy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Reedy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-9. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 10.33 hits in those games compared to only 4.9 in the others. As for Creekview, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Creekview beat Reedy 15-11 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Does Creekview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Reedy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
