Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pinecrest). They blew past the Scotland Fighting Scots 16-0 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 3.6 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Scotland from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Jadyn Lamielle led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

The win (which was Pinecrest's third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Scotland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Pinecrest didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Cape Fear on the 19th. As for Scotland, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lee County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Scotland has given up an average of 10.5 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
