Soccer Recap: Proctor Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Arlington Memorial

Proctor faced Arlington Memorial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Phantoms fell 3-1 to the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Arlington Memorial this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

This is the second loss in a row for Proctor and nudges their season record down to 6-4-1. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-4 West Rutland (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 71.8% over those games). As for Arlington Memorial, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Proctor will face off against rival Grace Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Arlington Memorial is set to take on their familiar foe West Rutland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
