Soccer Recap: Overfelt Comes Up Short

Overfelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Del Mar Dons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Overfelt of the 5-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Overfelt's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Del Mar, they now have a winning record of 1-0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Overfelt will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mt. Pleasant at 6:30 p.m. on the 18th. As for Del Mar, they will head out to square off against Santa Clara at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
