Basketball Game Preview: North Fork Miners vs. Vail Mountain Gore Rangers

The North Fork Miners will challenge the Vail Mountain Gore Rangers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: North Fork has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Vail Mountain will arrive with four straight wins.

North Fork is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell to Olathe 72-67. That's two games in a row now that the Miners have lost by exactly five points.

Meanwhile, Vail Mountain really took it to West Grand for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-20 victory. The Gore Rangers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Vail Mountain's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for North Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

North Fork was able to grind out a solid victory over Vail Mountain in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 51-41. Will North Fork repeat their success, or does Vail Mountain have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
