Basketball Recap: Lebanon Comes Up Short

Lebanon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 67-30 loss at the hands of the Valmeyer Pirates. The Greyhounds were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-20.

Despite the defeat, Lebanon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Deion Washington went 5-for-12 to rack up 15 points and six boards. What's more, Washington also posted a 42% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024.

Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Valmeyer, their victory bumped their record up to 11-14.

Lebanon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 97-59 defeat against New Athens on the 14th. As for Valmeyer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-26 win against First Baptist Academy on the 13th.
