Soccer Recap: Bishop McNamara Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bishop McNamara can now relate to. They lost 8-0 to the Herscher Tigers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Bishop McNamara can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while Herscher are ranked 140th).

Bishop McNamara dropped their record down to 7-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Herscher, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3-2 record this season.

Bishop McNamara does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Herscher, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Peotone on the 24th.
