Recap: Glendale Prep Academy Griffins vs. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans
The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins won the last time they faced the Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans, and things went their way on Thursday too. Glendale Prep Academy walked away with a 49-39 win over Scottsdale Preparatory Academy.
Among those leading the charge was Maddox Smith, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Andersen, who scored two points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brendan Maclean, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Will Ryken, who scored 12 points.
Glendale Prep Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Scottsdale Preparatory Academy, they bumped their record down to 7-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Glendale Prep Academy and Mountainside will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mountainside is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Scottsdale Preparatory Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Joseph City at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Joseph City has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 191 points over their last three matches.
