Basketball Recap: Grace and Glory Christian Comes Up Short at Home Against Wiregrass

Grace and Glory Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Wiregrass Kings on Thursday, falling 95-40. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-23.

Despite the loss, Grace and Glory Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jonah Galloway posted 18 points.

Brayden Treadaway went supernova For Wiregrass., going 14-for-23 en route to 31 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. What's more, Treadaway also posted a 61% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Graysen Ellison, who had 11 points along with six assists and five boards.

Wiregrass has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace and Glory Christian will challenge Cottondale at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wiregrass, they will square off against Washington County Christian School on Monday.
