Basketball Game Preview: Warren Bears vs. Loara Saxons

The Warren Bears will head out to challenge the Loara Saxons at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Warren easily dispatched Kennedy last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Bears fell just short of La Serna by a score of 64-62 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bears have suffered since January 3rd.

Despite their defeat, Warren saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. King Johnson, who went 9-for-17 en route to 21 points and six boards, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Kenneth Martinez, who shot 70% from the field on his way to 16 points.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-45, which was the final score in Loara's tilt against Pacifica on Tuesday.

Warren's record now sits at 1-1. As for Loara, their record is now 0-2.

Everything came up roses for Warren against Loara in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 77-21 win. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saxons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
