Socorro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 46-39 to the Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes. One positive for the Warriors, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Cottonwood Classical Prep found their leader in sophomore Ryah Carlson, who went 14 for 26 on her way to 31 points and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carlson has scored all season.

Socorro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, with the win, they broke their 13-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-8.

Socorro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-43 loss against Legacy Academy on the 3rd. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-27 defeat against Mesilla Valley Christian School on the 3rd.
