Football Recap: Woodland Has No Trouble Against Hockinson + How To Watch

Woodland barely beat Hockinson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Beavers blew past the Hawks 27-7 on Friday. That looming 27-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Beavers yet this season.

Michael Belvin had an outrageously good game as he threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 44 yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (124.5). Woodland also got help from Tanner Cusick, who showed off his sure hands for 89 receiving yards.

Woodland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Rick McCants, Josiah Graham, and Jackson Andrews picked up one apiece.

Woodland now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hockinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
