Baseball Recap: Wonderview Takes a Loss

Wonderview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clinton Yellowjackets.

Wonderview saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Roberds, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple and two RBI. Another was Cooper Tinsley, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Wonderview's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Clinton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Wonderview will head out on the road to face off against Sacred Heart at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Daredevils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Clinton, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Central Arkansas Christian on the 14th.
