It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Don Bosco Cristo Rey can now relate to. They came up short against the Berman Hebrew Academy Cougars on Thursday, falling 49-27. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolfpack have suffered since January 24, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Don Bosco Cristo Rey lost, don't look at Maya Byrd-Gross. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points. That was a full 59.3% of Don Bosco Cristo Rey's points, marking the 14th time in a row Byrd-Gross has had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamy Aviles-Martinez, who earned seven points.

Don Bosco Cristo Rey's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Berman Hebrew Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
