Recap: North Sanpete Hawks vs. Juab Wasps

There's no place like home for the North Sanpete Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 63-58 W over Juab on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Cole Cook continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. He also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Ridge Hendry was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.

Juab lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Austin Hopoate, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Hopoate scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Braxton Hooper, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.

North Sanpete pushed their record up to 6-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Juab, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3.

North Sanpete will head out on the road to take on Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Delta is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Juab, they will be playing at home against Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Canyon View's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
