Baseball Game Preview: Chandler Prep Titans vs. ALA - Anthem South Titans

Chandler Prep will challenge ALA - Anthem South at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. ALA - Anthem South took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Chandler Prep, who comes in off a win.

Chandler Prep saw some tournament action on Thursday. Everything went their way against Coronado as Chandler Prep made off with a 14-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Dons: they've now won three in a row.

Derek Tucker was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Henry Allen, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Niall Schubring was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

ALA - Anthem South kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 7-1 to Gilbert Classical Academy.

ALA - Anthem South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Marsh, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
