Basketball Preview: Rockcastle County Rockets vs. Wolfe County Wolves
The Rockcastle County Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolfe County Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockcastle County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 321 points over their last five contests.
Rockcastle County pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 75-57 to Madison Southern.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Wolfe County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They managed a 89-83 win over Betsy Layne. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Wolfe County found their leader in underclassman Corey Flinchum, who scored 28 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Camden Oliver, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Rockcastle County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Wolfe County, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
