Football Recap: North Grand Comes Up Short

If North Grand was feeling good fresh off their 42-0 takedown of Phoenix Military last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagle Owls took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Schurz Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Eagle Owls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Schurz can attribute much of their success to Athena Falconer, who threw for 104 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 37 yards. A healthy portion of Falconer's aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Lyric Harris.

North Grand now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Schurz, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

North Grand didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 32-7 defeat against Crane Medical on the 6th. As for Schurz, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 34-14 loss against Ogden International on the 6th.
