Basketball Recap: Belvidere North Comes Up Short

Belvidere North lost against Kaneland back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Belvidere North Blue Thunder received a blow as they fell 61-44 to the Kaneland Knights. While losing is never fun, the Blue Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 406th, while the Knights are ranked 45th).

Belvidere North's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Kaneland, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.

Belvidere North will head out to challenge Guilford at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kaneland, they will be playing at home against Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
